What does the organisation do?
RICS is the world’s leading qualification when it comes to professional standards in land, property and construction. What is the opportunity?
You will be part of the Board that produces risk based regulation to protect the public and which works for Members and Firms.
You will be actively involved with:
The formulation and delivery of the regulatory policy objectives of RICS
Make Rules in respect of Conduct and ethical standards, RICS powers, constitution of committees together with their role and functions and other adhoc regulatory matters
Publication and promotion of guidance and advice to members & Firms and on Regulatory decisions of the Conduct & Appeals Committee
Overseeing the delivery of a fair regulatory process
Monitoring and responding to changes to legislation and public policy
What competencies do you need?
You must be committed to high professional standards in the public interest and make positive contribution to strategic change.
You must be able to demonstrate the following:
Regulatory and international organisational experience
Ability to effectively provide a constructive independent view
An appreciation of RICS Global strategy
High level of analytical ability
Excellent communication skills
Personal Integrity and of good character
You must be available for a minimum of 6-10 days a year.
