Contine to spend as much of my spare time as I can promoting the concept of home based volunteering through a website that I run called Help From Home http://www.helpfromhome.org The website contains over 450 positive actions that can be done from a persons home that will benefit a worthy cause, that ultimately has the potential to make this world a better place to live in.
I find it very rewarding knowing that I could be putting smiles on people's faces - just because I can!
'See what you can do for the world, dressed just in your pyjamas'!

My personal pledge for some time has been and remains to be to reposition myself from being a corporate employee to being a social entrepreneur. This is a long term and ongoing pledge I have made to myself i.e. I will not define a new one for initiative below but will rather just re-apply the existing one.

host a colleagues' barbecue. Our company is about to be bought out and most people will lose their jobs. Many have low aspiration and are only able to see the doom and gloom view of life. I have set up a whiteboard with the heading “I am part of the team that…” and invited all to add their personal contributions.
For 10/10 I am hosting a barbecue at my home where they can bring their families, we will do some mini workshops and show examples of CVs for them to begin writing an up-beat version of their lives. It might not be world-changing but it might change the world for some of my colleagues.
